STAB’s Justin Taylor is Central VA.’s Finest & National Top Prospect

Quietly class of 2022 standout Justin Taylor from Charlottesville’s St. Anne's-Belfield has already put himself onto the radar of multiple mid and high major colleges and universities.

The dead-eye, 6’5 shooting guard; Taylor was already invited to attend the USA Basketball Junior National Team Minicamp in Atlanta this 2020 spring/summer. Annually, the mini-camp feature’s many of the top prospects from around the country.

Justin is widely considered one of the top players in the country by multiple ranking and scouting services – ranking as high as #49 recently on 247Sports. Even though the actual camp is now in question due to the current situation across the country – it takes nothing away from his body of work which you can check out below.

When you see Justin take the floor the first thing you notice is his confidence as a shooter. He's a natural perimeter player who is a high percentage 3-point shooter. Taylor see’s the floor very well and can transition from scorer to passer easily.

He's got an innate feel for the game and is in constant motion on the floor, looking to make a play. Justin can shoot it off screens and off the catch and is an athletic enough finisher with size for the position.

He can pull-up or get to the rim and requires little space to get his shot off. Very unselfish and team oriented, high character kid who rarely turns the ball over – consistently making high IQ plays. What we like most is that he isn't afraid to play defense. Bottom-line he plays the game the right way and will be a valuable member to any college teams with his skill set which will only get better over the next two years.
