Mr. McNasty Returns to the MSAAG & BBall Spotlight Nastier Than Ever & with a New Bag

Donnell Harris has been brutally effective in is appearances at the Basketball Spotlight Future Phenom Camp winning back-to-back MVPs leading up to this year; the two time Middle School All-American continued this year showing added pieces to his overall game.

Standing at 6-foot-7, with a tremendous wingspan, Harris is a menace defensively. He blocks and alters shots, is able to wall up and guard bigger players, and even steals the ball a surprising amount for a big man. In previous years like most young bigs, his offense was still a work in progress but this year we are seeing a dedication to playing face-up basketball as well we are seeing a growing confidence and ability to put the ball on the deck and the jumper mechanically looks very solid. Harris is also an elite level rebounder thanks to his length and athleticism, he is averaged over 10 rebounds a

The impact Donnell has on a game is uncanny; he blocked 4-shots in the All-American game but the he changed so many more – often times offensive players simply rushed shots because he was on the floor and wasn’t even in position to make a play.  He is such a powerful defender his reputation puts offensive players in fear.

As the skill set continues to diversify itself Harris’ wingspan, athleticism, motor and passion and clearly the time he is putting in adding aspects to his game makes him one of the most intriguing prospects in the country, and he should be a monster defensively for years to come. As a face-up 4/stretch 4 at 6’8/6’9 we may be buying tickets to watch him hoop in the future!  With this new skill set on display his position is undefined and his ceiling unending; sky is the limit for Harris and he showed that again this past weekend.
