New World Sends Message to the Rest of the Country - Welcome to Death Row
The DC Metropolitan area also known by locals as the DMV has been home in recent years to several of the top teams in the county at various levels. The group that earned the name “ The Lynch Mob” in the summer of 2015 has reemerged as 8th graders as one possibly the number one team in the county. Now formally a fully sponsored Adidas Gauntlet program and the current 16U champion on the high school side; New World who has already put the DMV on notice of their arrival; caused quite a stir matching up against their northeast brethren with their roster of nationally ranked players on a recent visit to the Basketball Spotlight Tip Off Classic.

EXCLUSIVE G3 Grind Exposures the Truth About Life on the Shoe Circuit
The AAU world at times can be a grimy business; and it becomes even more serious and treacherous once you get to the high school side where money, contracts, shoe affiliations can impact a multitude of decisions and movement.
Mike Saunders out of Indiana and formally of the George Hill All-Stars entered this world roughly 90-days ago. In a P2BBall.com exclusive we sat down with Saunders of the newly formed G3 Grind who we featured in an article earlier this week.
The purpose? After being one of the most respected organization and coaches on the middle and grammar school side we wanted to see if our theory was true and find out what his experience has been in this new world of high school circuit contracts.
Click below at your own risk and unlock the truth; you wont be able to unsee this.

Reclassification Maximization & Its Impact on College Scholarships
We have had several hundred parents and players contact since the presentation of our rankings; posing question(s) of their long term value and the relevance thereof as it pertains to high school and beyond. Any parents or player who has committed and dedicated themselves to obtaining a college scholarship through basketball at the middle level; it’s imperative that forethought be given to any and all decisions as they can in some cases directly affect the future success of the player.
First and foremost a lot of things can change during the span of middle and high school; a plethora of changes can also occur in prospects recruitment – no longer is it forgone conclusion as to when a player will finish high school and start college. Gone are the days where prep schools where the only option; though still used, they are part of a much larger machine knowledgeable and canny families are using to secure the athletic and academic futures of their children and to allow them to achieve a free education.

The 20 best NBA prospects in or just leaving middle school basketball
Contrary to popular belief the world’s best basketball players don’t simple magically appear. Well in advance of players becoming nationally known names and one-and-done lottery pick in the NBA – they each have been scouted, evaluated and analyzed for years in comparison to the other top players in their respective class.
In most cases only the most dedicated youth basketball fans follow the recruitment and class rankings at this level; with elite level scouting this is the typically the first insight into who will be the NBA’s next talent.
It is extremely important that everyone remember that all highly touted players do not follow the same or traditional path to the league. Yet, in most cases scouting services such as ESPN, Rivals, Scouts, 247Sports, NBA Draft Net and other do a phenomenal job in the identification of the top of the best talent in the respective class.
Looking back at the recent NBA draft classes you will find the large majority of American players taken were considered 5-star prospects and were ranked highly in their respective recruiting class rankings.
Please let’s all stop calling it AAU; and refer to its true moniker; “Grassroots” basketball - with the class ranking recently completed it’s a good time to take stock of the best long-term prospects just leaving and/or currently playing Middle School basketball. There is a good chance with good health, continue work, and growth – these will be some of the players in the upcoming NBA Drafts.

Top Under the Radar Players Who Will Soon Be Household Name
Jalen Bradberry (NY-2021) - Is a shifty, strong shooting
guard with excellent ball skills and deep shooting range off the catch or bounce.
Bradberry does a great job creating
space off the dribble to get his shot off, and is also a very good passer when
he draws a second defender. Compact quick
release shooter with solid mechanics, high IQ, with length – has tools and a
viable skill set for high level future success.
We wanted to see more against the best in class; but has rated high each
time we have graded him.
Quinn Clark (VA-2022) - An imposing physical presence (6’4)
in the paint, long (seven-foot wingspan) and strong with good size, movement, and
natural power – and he potentially still growing. He's now starting to grow
into his body and consequently becoming more athletic on a consistent basis.
He's a consistent shot-blocking threat and also a power finisher in the paint –
great hands, passer out of the post and is functional back-to-basket and facing
up.
Anthony Seoage (NJ -2023) – was one of the most pleasant surprises
in the camp; a baby faced assassin has the smile and nice demeanor until the
ball is tipped. Seoage is a gamer who is jitty-bug quick that is a terrific
play maker. He attacks the defense constantly through contact on the break and
in the half court set. He out quicks wing
players, shoots when space is given, and dishes to the open man and plays with
a little flair as well. When Seoage gets his shoulder by a defender on a drive
he usually scorers or at minimum makes something happen for a teammate. More of scoring lead, the pure PG aspects are
there and his combination of both will make him very special.
Blake Harper (DC-2024) - has great size and length is super quick and
easily functions as a high end combination guard that gets it done and excels
on the break. He is an efficient high IQ
player that makes plays in the half court with pull ups and slashes in between
defenders. He is a rhythm scorer that can put up numbers in a hurry when
aggressive and doesn't worry about his position he is simply a basketball
player and one that will be in the national conversation for a long time to
come.
