P2bball.com attempts to introduce America to the most elite
and upcoming youth basketball players in the nation. In out travels we have seen and evaluated a multitude
of talented players who are poised to make an impact on the next level and
beyond.
There are instances in which we anticipate a high level of success
well beyond the middle school level; but seldom has there been an instance
where we will formally document a position where we feel pro potential is part
of that consideration.
This is one those instances and today is one of those days –
P2Bball.com would like to introduce the nation to a player positioned to make impact
two to three levels up. Meet 7’3" 8th
grader Chol Marial from South Sudan. The 7’3 super prospect born November 1, 1999
is now 14 years old and possesses a 21 inch vertical leap along with a jaw
dropping 7’11” wing span and comes with
a list of achievements that is as impressive as his height and length.
Chol Marial at age 14 already starts for the South Sudan
16U National Team and was the leading rebounder and shot blocker in the in U16
international East Africa Friendly Tournament held in Kenya. Prior to that Chol was selected to
participate in the 2013 NBA/FIBA Basketball Without Borders Africa, South
Africa event where he impressed the scout in attendance. In 2014 he made the All-Star Team at the MENA
Basketball Showcase which pitted the Middle East vs. North Africa.
All this was prior to Marial coming to Florida were he
attends and plays varsity for West Oak Academy.
At 216lbs Marial’s frame is already impressive and he putting on weight and
muscle as he works with a select group of trainers and skill developers. His movements are maybe the most the most impressive
aspect of his game as he shows immense agility and athleticism for a player his
size. He boast solid mechanics on this
shot that ranges consistently from 12 to 15 feet and he is more than confident
to let is fly and hits it with nice consistency.
There is no physical specimen with this type of skill set
anywhere in the country and we make this statement with confidence. What makes this extra special and extra scary
for the rest of the United States is that he is being teamed with possible the
next biggest and next best post prospect in the class Balsa Koprivica the 6’11”,
245lbs Serbian as part of Team Florida.
Team Florida will be making their appearance on the national scene in a
few weeks in the DC Metropolitan Area in the first session of the NYBL – giving
them easily the tallest front line in the nation in the class of 2019. With a potential relationship with 6’9” Jared
Jones, also out of Florida, point against them will be at a premium and
match-up problems may be the understatement of the year.

The P2BBall.com Future Star Guarantee most certainly
applies here.
Utah hosts it's own 7'3 8th grader with a 22 inch vertical. He is a legit 14 year old born here in the usa. Let's get these two against each other our on the same front line!
