Motor City Madness Rankings & Exposure Camp May 17th & 18th, 2014 Detroit, Mi. - WHOSE COMING!!!!


Anthony Benard 
2023-MWA Elite 9U-Detroit
Combo Guard-Grosse Pointe Park, MI

4th year on the AAU circuit, played in 2nd grade AAU Nationals in 2013. Family owns Midwest Athletics-(facility, tournament & league provider in Detroit area). Began playing competitive in kindergarten, in the K/1st/2nd grade Bitty-ball league in Detroit.

A knock down 3-point shooter, with the ability to create space and get to the basket. Very high basketball IQ on the floor, is able to play the 1 or 2 position. Can change his game to adapt to the flow of the game and ball handling is a strength with either hand. Looks to take over at the end of games or when team is in need of points, very unselfish player. Multiple games with 3-5 three point makes

Current team MWA Elite is 56-2 for the 2013-14 season-Won Derrick Coleman Invitational in 2013-averaged 18 points over 4-games, finished 2nd in the MLK Showcase event at Spiece and won recent event at Joy of the Game in Illinois-had 19 points in the semi-final game.
2022 -All Ohio Red - 10U-Ohio
Point Guard - Coles, OH
Big time player from top Elite Program, All Ohio Red.  Jones has the ball on a string creating magic off the dribble, 1-on-1 cannot be contained in the open court and is creative in the half court. Laser quick from point to point and has mastered use of angles to get to the spot he wants; see's the floor and is able to complete passes in tight places with pinpoint accuracy.  Not just a ball handler, he plays the lead guard position w/ a "Allen Iverson" type style, when looked to for scoring he can do so off penetration & perimeter. Jones is flare meeting skill and one to watch at Motor City Madness - wants title of best Midwest PG and has chance to earn it.

Triston Nichols

2023-MWA Elite 9U-Detroit
Forward-Shelby Township, MI

3rd year on the AAU circuit played in 2nd grade AAU Nationals in 2012 & 2013. Began playing competitive at the age of 4, in the K/1st grade basketball league in Rochester, MI. - A very patient, unselfish, crafty, and physical wing player who has great court awareness, effective from the low wing and high post off the dribble; has the capability to step out to 15-feet and knock down the shot or go inside. Also able to get the defensive rebound and finish at the other end or find an open teammate.

Current team MWA Elite is 56-2 for the 2013-14 season-Won Derrick Coleman Invitational in 2013, finished 2nd in the MLK Showcase event at Spiece Fieldhouse, in Fort Wayne, IN and were champions in the JG Presidents Day Cup at Joy of the Game, in Deerfield, IL going 4-0, he averaged 10points, & 6 rebounds.

2018 - The Family Inc. - Detroit

Flashy, yet, unselfish and mature for a young point guard; Rashad Williams is a name to remember. With outstanding handles, a quick jumper, great vision, and range stretching out to the pro three point line Williams is primed to be one of the best in the class of 2018. Rashad plays for The Family and is considered by most to be the top 8th grader in the state of Michigan. The national buzz has been growing about this 6’1 point guard over the past 2 years and as one of the nation’s top prospects many believe he’s got the potential to be one of the best guards to ever come out of Michigan. To ensure he stays on course, Williams trains with University of Detroit Legend Rashad Phillips who his helping him to fine tune his game. As Williams continues learning from one of the best he’s preparing to take his talents to one of the best basketball programs in Michigan, state champion Romulus High School. Coach Jarret Smith is excited about the arrival of this young point guard. He sees something special in Williams. If Rashad’s work ethic is any indicator of the level of success he’ll reach then the future is bright for this young basketball star. 

Chris Winborne
2022 - B"more Finest - Baltimore, Maryland
Combo Guard

Winborne has emerged quickly as one of the top players in his class as national scouts became privy to the fact that for the past two year Chris has been playing and STARTING at the 4th & 5th grade level for nationally ranked B'More's Finest but is actually a class of 2022 member; this fact immediately takes him from high-level player to a star of his class. A four position juggernaut Winborne can operate all three back court positions as well as being a presence inside if needed.  Chris' game is one of the most versatile in his class because of his ability to play multiple positions and he can handle and shoot. Skilled, coachable, with extreme court savvy he also excibits body control has long arms, and runs the floor well displaying an exceptional motor.  He a do everything player who will via for top honors at "Motor City Madness" this is player you want to see and one that you want to compete against if you want to measure where you are against the best out there as Chris is one of the nations most talented at this point in this age group.
