Franklin Ayisse-Etoh took home the MVP for the Middle School
All-American game with a double-double performance with 15-point 10-rebound
stat-line and for stretches of the Basketball Spotlight Future Phenom Camp he
was flat out dominant. His overall
performance positions him as a Top 5 candidate in the class and he could easily
garner conversation as the top player in the class. At this level there isn’t anything he can’t
do – he has the size, strength, and athleticism to play all 5 positions equally
as well but his future is that of a versatile scoring wing.
Ayisse-Etoh is a terrific long armed athlete that does a
great job running the floor and attacking the basket on the break and in the
half court. He can hit the open three with time and space but he is at his best
when getting to the paint where he can finish through contact. Franklin is an
exceptional rebounder on both ends mainly because he can get rebounds in and
out of his area and he has a natural nose for the ball. He has great hands is
also a good passer and ball handler and he’s tough, plays with an edge, and
WANTS TO BE the best player on the court at all times, his competitiveness is
contagious. Defensively “The Artist” did a great job of challenging shots on
and away from the ball.
Right now starring as an athletic combination forward that
is a match up problem for any team or individual trying to guard him - his
number one asset is his ability to attack and pressure the paint. He is a great
rebounder and excellent multi-position defender. His skills need to continue to
be honed to be considered a full time shooting/combo guard exclusively but
without a doubt regardless of position he is simply one of the most elite
BASKETBALL PLAYERS in the country he can play with and give it to anyone who
wants, “The Artist” is a flat out problem and it looks to only be getting worse
for the opposition as he continues to develop.
How much of a problem is he?
