Rated #2 in the country by P2Bball.com at his
position point guard Carter Whitt is the definition of a true point guard; that pushes the
ball at high speeds and can get to where ever he wants on the court to score
off the dribble and set up teammates. We have witnessed Whitt beat other high
level guards off the bounce sometimes at will.
He has moves on moves to get by the second defender
before he completes an acrobatic finish or passes while showing excellent body
control. Whitt’s handle is tight and fluid and he is a willing passer with
excellent court vision and feel for the game. He is a terrific drive, draw and
kick passer.
Carter simply scored at will going to the rim at will while making
it look easy at the Middle School Hoops Camp. Carter is also a solid on ball
defender, and with a pending invite to the USA National Select he will have an opportunity
to prove it on the big stage against some of the best comp on the country in a
standard game format.
Whitt is a slasher and a creator. He is excellent at
getting into the lane to score or dish to an open teammate. He is very quick and
a very very deceptive overall athlete. His jump shot is becoming more
consistent at this point but his ability to score is not diminished. Carter Whitt is loaded with talent and is arguably
a Top 5 player in the class of 2021.
