Game of the Day:
Wisconsin United (2-1) vs. George Hill Rising Stars (3-0)
![]() |
Jalen Suggs - Wisconsin United |
In a game with lots of star the bordering states will clash
in a battle that will eliminate one from national championship contention. Two time defending champion Wisconsin United
who was upset in pool play by Team IZOD and is led by the classes #1 PG Jalen
Suggs and the nation’s top post player Donavan Billings will look to avenge this
loss and continue on for a unprecedented 3-peat effort. In their ways stands
focused, well coached, and determined George Hill Rising Star team that has a
few stars of their own in PG Mike Saunders Jr. and Hunter Jackson. George Hill comes in undefeated and is very familiar
with this foe. This will likely prove to
be an emotional and hard fought effort that everyone will want to see. Come
early and get your popcorn ready and this is sure to one of the best match-ups
of the tournament if not the year!
Game Time: 12:40pm Court 1
Sleeper Team:
Tennessee Legends
The Legends have only been together six months and are
coming off a 20+ point win against a quality Worldwide Wildcats team. There are 3-0 in their pool and the team and
coaching staff is very confident moving forward. They rely on their motor and lead guard to
set the tone for them and use a balanced scoring effort and unselfish play to
attack their opponent. Coach Bohodges
has team that has all the elements needed to surprise and finishes highly;
size, speed, athleticism, scorers and shooter, and a team defensive concept
that has not yet been tested on a national level, but one that each player believes
in. This is a team no one wants to face
and could be the surprise of the tournament.
In order for this to happen they must defeat one of the most seasoned
and experienced teams in the tournament; CBC Elite. Another well coached team with a few stars of
their own – led by Jordan McPhatter they will need to the space the court,
knock down open shots, and put the Legends on an island defensively. If any group can stop the Legends its this
one but it will take a valiant effort and production from the new bigs recently
picked up by this talented group of perimeter players.
Game Time: 10:00 Court 4
Upset Alert:
Mid-Ohio Pumas OVER Team Takeover
Takeover comes into bracket play with a surprising 2-1
record and will face the undefeated Pumas.
Takeover from the traditional power region Potomac Valley will look to
use pressure defense, ball handling, and perimeter scoring that they have
become known for to secure the victory.
The Pumas may be one of the most underrated groups in the event and may
have some of the best players no one has ever heard of. Be on court 2 at 12:40pm as this very well
may be the game that puts them on the map and gets everyone in the buildings
attention.

Styles Make Fight Game of the Day:
West Coast All Stars vs. DC Premier
National Championship contender West Coast All Stars who
have two of the top players in the class in the country in Paris Dawson and
Jason Harris will want to get out and run in transition where they are best and
have some of the very best finishers in the tournament. This is the one game and DC Premier is the
one team that can actually take them out of this style as Premier will be patient,
deliberate, and will operate one of the most well ran offenses in the tournament. In a battle of wills, the team that imposes
its preferred playing style on the other will likely win this battle. Look for a low scoring affair where
possessions will become important and attention to detail in the half court will
be a prominent factor. Harris who is now
an inside/outside threat may be the key to the game in what likely will end up
in a “grind it out affair” – likely not the most pretty and free flowing game of
the day; but one true basketball fans will surely enjoy. You can see this game
on court 2 at 2pm.
