America Meet "Mr. Everything" - Grant Huffman

Grant Huffman is one of the most underrated players in the class of 2020 hands down and period.  The combo guard out of Ohio is excellent at using angles to put himself in a position to take high-percentage shots. Having seen Huffman multiple time he has proven that he can score from  anywhere – he shoots a phenomenal percent from 3-point range each event we seen him in; most recently Huffman competed in the USBA National Champions Tournament as a member of national acclaimed USA National Select. To further accentuate the depth and quality of his game Huffman rarely attempts a bad shot or makes a foolish pass.

Some scouts have stated it'd help if he were a little bigger, maybe a little more athletic…but frankly it could be a little warmer outside, a little cooler inside, and the French fries at McDonald’s might need a little more or less salt on the fries – the bloodlines look solid as dad stands somewhere in the 6’4/6’6, so long term Grant will be just fine.  With good shoulders and long arms, Coach Francis, who loves Huffman laments "Really, there's not a lot not to like. He does just about everything really, really well."

This is crux of Huffman’s analysis – he is the type of player that teams refer to as “the glue guy”; the one so skilled and team oriented that he can step on the floor and be:

1.      The defensive stopper
2.      The 3-point shooter and space creator
3.      Offensive rebounder
4.      Ball-handler
5.      Floor General

Get our point?  We saw Huffman over the course of a few days fulfill all of these roles and more on an elite level playing with some of the country’s most talented players.  A quite leader, who leads by example – the wait to see his dominant basketball trait is all that it will take to have him mentioned with the very best; the fact that he is “good” and many things actually get held against him.

We believe that Grant will progress into an elite level shooter and 3-point marksman and ultimately into a high end two and/or combo guard.  This is a player every team needs and every coach wants and one that when all is said and done that will put his imprint on the class as one of its premier players.
